Immigrated with his parents to the United States in 1956. He graduated from University of Oklahoma with a major in Zoology and minor in Economics and Psychology. Worked for Northwest Airlines 35 years as a pilot, FAA rated instructor and check pilot, Assistant Chief Pilot and Chief Pilot responsible for the large international aircraft flying in the Pacific. In the position as the Director of Flying for Northwest Airlines, maintained offices in Seattle, Los Angeles, Anchorage, Honolulu, and Narita (Tokyo). Upon retirement from Northwest Airlines in 2001 was employed as a consultant conducting domestic and international airline audits for IATA (International Airline Transport Association). During the last two years was team leader coordinating 3 to 5 other aviation special consultants conducting Operational Quality Standards Audits; coordinated the audits with the airline's executives, and specialized airline consultants from all parts of the world as members of the audit team. Currently is consulting as an airline expert witness using his broad aviation background, which covers many aspects of aviation. Although his home base is in Seattle, Washington he spends his winters in Palm Springs. While in Palm Springs he volunteers for the Historic Tennis Club Association Board; Palm Springs Office of Neighborhood Involvement Committee; Chair the Crime and Security Committee; The Well in the Desert Board member; Police Advisory Board; Palm Springs Aero Squadron; C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Training); and serves on the C.E.R.T. Container subcommittee. Married 43 years; has two sons, one daughter and two granddaughters. He enjoys riding road bicycles both in Palm Springs and in Seattle.
