Has lived in Palm Springs since 1969. Retired from Palm Springs Unified School District after 26 years; last teaching assignment was at Raymond Cree Middle School. Also taught part-time for the past ten years at Nightingale Manor Emergency Family Homeless Shelter; currently volunteers at The Well in the Desert. Ms. Ferriter is married and has three grown sons and three grandchildren.
